![]() ![]() OIT provides a software package called Webdrive, which allows you to map a network drive via ssh and then it shows the files in the client computer as a drive letter, where you can actually manipulate the files in a live-like manner. Your credentials to authenticate are your Georgia Tech user name and password (the same you use to check your GT e-mail). This means that you can connect to our new gateway machine, which mounts your files directly from the file server. Open a xterm or other terminal window/console -> At the prompt, type ' ssh Substitute your Math Username for the username part.We provice access to your files in a secure way via ssh or scp/sftp.Go to Start menu -> All Programs -> SSH Secure Shell -> Secure Shell Client -> Click the ' Quick Connect' button (or hit Enter) -> For the ' Host Name:' field, type in ' ' -> For the ' User Name:' field, type in your Math Username -> Click the ' Connect' button (or hit Enter) -> For the ' Password:' prompt, type in your password -> Click the ' OK' button (or hit Enter).Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.app -> At the prompt, type ' ssh Substitute your Math Username for the username part.Must have for UNIX-box user and admins!
